Shared responsibility
Safety is not a department. Every engineer, panel builder, and field technician at Pendant owns it, from the shop floor to the customer's site.
How we keep our people and yours safe on site, and how we build safety into the control systems we deliver.
We are an industrial control systems integrator. Our work puts people next to energized equipment, moving conveyor, and machinery that does not stop on its own. That reality is why safety comes before schedule, before budget, and before anything else on the job.
Safety is not a department. Every engineer, panel builder, and field technician at Pendant owns it, from the shop floor to the customer's site.
We plan the hazard out before the work starts. Job hazard analyses, energy control plans, and the right PPE are part of the scope, not an afterthought.
Anyone on a Pendant crew can stop a task they believe is unsafe. No approval needed, no consequences, no exceptions.
Standards change and so do our people. Regular training keeps every team member current on electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and the site-specific rules where they work.
Near misses get reported, discussed, and fixed. We would rather hear about a close call ten times than an injury once.
Our people have families waiting for them. Every decision we make on site is measured against that. Nobody gets hurt building or running what we deliver.
Installation, startup, and commissioning happen inside live, working facilities. Distribution centers, parcel hubs, manufacturing lines, and process plants each have their own hazards and their own contractor requirements. Our crews arrive prepared for both.
Hazardous energy control on every piece of equipment we touch. Written procedures, verified zero-energy state, and one lock per person, every time.
Work on energized equipment follows NFPA 70E. Arc-flash boundaries, incident energy analysis, and category-rated PPE are standard practice, not a special request.
Before mobilizing, we build a safety plan around your facility: your hazards, your emergency procedures, your contractor rules. Our crew is briefed before they walk in.
Every shift on site starts with a toolbox talk. What is the work today, what can hurt us, and what are we doing about it.
Conveyor, sortation, and material handling equipment keep running around us. We coordinate with your operations team so nobody is surprised by a start-up or a moving line.
Every incident and near miss is documented, investigated, and reviewed. What we learn goes back into training and procedures across the whole company.
Our responsibility does not end when our crew leaves your site. The control systems we deliver protect your operators every shift for years. That is why functional safety is part of our engineering process from the first risk assessment through final validation.
We design safety systems with the same care as the rest of the control system, and we document them so your maintenance team can keep them working as intended.
