At Pendant, we’ve been taking a fresh look at how we approach marketing, customer support, and website optimization. With the recent launch of our new Customer Service Help Site, we’re committed to making it easier than ever for both future and current customers to get the answers they need. This project also allowed us to re-evaluate our online presence. We made several branding updates to better connect our industrial controls business with our fast-expanding software solutions, ensuring a more consistent experience across everything we offer.

Digging Into Website Traffic and Data-Driven Decisions

As part of this refresh, we began analyzing our website traffic more deeply and exploring smarter ways to bring people to our sites. That’s when I discovered the concept of a data crawler, a tool that automatically scans and collects information from websites to help teams make informed, data-driven marketing decisions.

I shared the crawler I was considering with Alexander Cardosi, our in-house software whiz. After a quick 20-minute call where I explained what I hoped to accomplish, Alex didn’t just offer advice. He built a custom crawler script on the spot.

Within the hour, he had:

• Written a crawler tailored to our needs
• Identified issues with our site structure
• Fixed several errors impacting visibility and performance

It was an incredible example of how technical expertise and clear goals can turn an idea into real, measurable improvements.

AI played a part in the process, helping speed up the development of the crawler. But the real impact came from teamwork. By blending human problem-solving with AI-driven tools, we were able to move from concept to solution almost instantly.
